Early in the morning, while the city is still asleep and the streetlights are still shining, we gather at the train station SBB. Some with suitcases and others with huge backpacks, but we all have the same goal, Scotland. After 2 years, without a camp and longer trips, it is finally time for the Immersions trip.
On the first train, to Strasbourg, most of us lay back on our ears or listen to music with our headphones. During the trip, the sun also appears and slowly rises, while some students are awakened by the sun's rays. From Basel to Strasbourg and from Strasbourg to Paris. In Paris our faces were shining and we captured our huge smiles with many photos and tiktoks. We were lucky because the controls at customs went pretty much smoothly and we were well within time. We then took the Eurostar to London St Pancras. On the train rides we played games, recorded videos, laughed out loud or just slept again. A short stop was made in London and we were on our way to Edinburgh. The journey from London to Edinburgh was very long, but the scenery with the sheep, the beautiful sea and the colorful sunset, made this long train ride one of the best experiences of the day. In total, we were on the road for about 15 hours, that is, from 6:00 in the morning to 20:00 in the evening. After a long journey, we finally arrived in Edinburgh. We headed to the apartments, which surprised us very positively. The apartments are huge and feel very luxurious. After being amazed, we went shopping in groups and bought food for dinner and breakfast for the next day. It was cooked together and all of us were still processing that we will now spend 2 weeks together. In summary, although we have traveled so much, we have seen a lot and taken away many impressions. We are all happy that the beginning went so smoothly and look forward to what the next day will bring.
